In May Phil and I took our Dad on a trip to Koblenz in Germany. Me and Dad took the Eurostar to Brussels, staying overnight on the way out giving us a bit of time to explore the city.
Considering there was major distruption on the trains getting down to London the mad rush to catch the Eurostar was somewhat expected. We made the train in time and otherwise had a serene journey to Brussels.
I hadn’t realised there was so much history and impressive buildings in Brussels, it is a beautiful place. On the way back we stopped again in Brussels and visted the Atom a giant atom shaped building that had been constructed for the world Expo in 1958. It now houses rooms with an impressive light show.
